About this EOTC Qualification
This qualification has been developed by Skills Active Aotearoa, the Sport and Recreation Industry Training Organisation, in association with EONZ and experienced EOTC educators.
It is designed specifically for EOTC teachers and EOTC co-ordinators in schools and kura, or private contractors providing these services to schools.

To register for the award and sign up on a training pathway contact a regional Skills Active Learning Support Advisor, or email Skills Active.
If you work in a school or kura, first contact EONZ at office.eonz.org.nz to establish whether you qualify for a subsidy - see information to the right of this page.
Subsidies for practicing teachers
A subsidy is currently available to teachers working in New Zealand schools to complete this award.
Valued at $260 the subsidy is automatically deducted from the full award value if you meet the criteria.
To access the subsidy teachers must be:
- An EONZ member, or
- Have completed approved EONZ facilitated 2-day PLD in EOTC. See PLD details here
To access the subsidy:
Email EONZ at email@example.com to apply for the subsidy. You will be notified promptly as to whether you meet the criteria or what you need to do to gain access.
Complete and submit a Skills Active training agreement via a regional Skills Active Learning Support Advisor, or directly to Skills Active.
Indicate to Skills Active that you wish to access the subsidy.
Following a cross-reference, the subsidy will be included in the cost to complete the award.
