Outdoor Leader
Outdoor Leader is an entry-level qualification for leadership in the outdoors. It is designed for persons who are organising and leading overnight fixed camps and/or leading day tramps on clearly formed tracks.
The course focuses on environmental care; clothing & equipment; moving with a group; navigation; weather; campcraft; water safety; trip planning; leadership and risk and crisis management.
Training courses are offered to discuss and provide experiences useful for the qualification. Successful completion of an assessment course provides a participant with the actual qualification.
